Why do we need your personal data?
Maritime Travel Service is a travel management company that organizes (corporate) travel and associated services. In order to provide our service we require your personal data.
What information do we collect?
To organize your travel arrangements effectively we ask you to complete a passenger profile. The information you share with us is used to arrange reservations. Profile information may contain the following: name, title, date of birth, address, telephone numbers, e-mail adresses, creditcard numbers, passport details, frequent flyer numbers, car registration number and personal preferences (such as seat, meal request etc.).
If you choose not to complete a personal profile then we will ask you for the minimum information necessary to complete a basic booking. This request wil be repeated whenever a new reservation is made.
How de we process personal information?
Your personal data will be processed in the reservation system Amadeus. Upon receipt of your completed profile we will create a profile within this system that will be consulted each time we make a reservation for the duration of our service agreement. A reservation involves the creation of a PNR (Passenger Name Record). Depending on your destination the PNR may contain variable personal data. Reservations to countries such as the United States of America, the United Kingdom and China require more personal data than is necessary for other countries.
In order to create reservations Maritime Travel Service is required to transfer personal information to various third party travel suppliers (such as airlines, hotels, car rental companies and safety and security tracking providers). Considering the global nature of our services it can be necessary to transfer your personal data to other countries. If you do not wish your data to be shared it will not be possible for you to travel to these countries.
At the request of our client (the paying party for the travel arrangements) we may prepare management information reports that summarize the travel expenditure per destination, per travel supplier, etc. Such reports may contain personal information.
Transfer at client request:
At the request of our client (the paying party for the travel arrangements) we may transfer personal information to third parties, for example for emergency traveler tracking services. These transfers could involve transfer of personal information to other countries.
Maritime Travel Service may be required by law to transfer information to governments and law enforcements agencies where required.
What are your rights?
You have the right to request Maritime Travel Service to provide you with the personal data that is contained in your profile. We will correct or remove your personal information according to your request.
